Little Palm is a private island resort in the Flor Little Palm is a private island resort in the Florida Keys. Only accessible by seaplane (fees apply) or by boat (hotel has a free scheduled ferry) . If staying at the resort isn’t feasible, dining is also an option to experience this gem, you have to call in to make a reservation . I was lucky to be hosted there a few years back. But, shortly after a hurricane destroyed the island and lots of the mangroves nearby . The resort reopened in March 2020 after being closed for awhile and had to immediately close again due to Covid. Now reopened and it’s even more amazing than before . This place is full of charm, President Harry Truman fished on the island. Their chef has been there for over 22 years, she makes the best key lime pie! If you’re lucky you’ll see local wild deer roaming the island. This company sanitized all of the life jackets and washes the jet skis before use, everyone wears a mask. But, when you get on your wave runner you can store your mask in a compartment near the dashboard . Tons of groupons for companies, just be careful to find out what are the additional insurance deposit cost, taxes and fuel fees. The park is recognized as a part of the Underground Railroad to Freedom. The Cape Florida Lighthouse has been recognized as South Florida’s oldest structure and once attacked by Native Americans.
